Distribution :
  • Burma (Tenasserim), Peninsular Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Possibly also New Guinea and Fiji; in Malaya fall in all part in the country in sheltered place, but uncommon.(Gunnar S, et all).
  • West Java  42 JAW(Kew).

Dendrobium lamellatum turning yellowish after old bloom from Kedah

Stems to about 12 cm long, flattened, to about 3 cm wide and only a few mmillimetres thick. Leave 2 or 3, to about 7.5 by 4 cm, acute. Inflorescences about 4 flowers, from near the apex of the stem, pendulous. Flowers 2.2 cm long. The mentum 1.3 cm. Sepals and petals at first white with a faint greenish ring in the centre, turning yellowish when old. Lip much widened from a narrow base. The almost truncate end bent into semicircle, its edge reflexed. Inside with a dull greenish patch 3-5 rounded low fleshy keels.
